Legacy’s Boss Bootcamp is a fun but challenging event for a boss to participate in. As this is the first time the event is being run we pre-empted a list of questions and/or information you may require, however if you can’t find the answer here, feel free to contact us.

Boss Bootcamp is Legacy’s biggest fundraising event that offers new ways to raise funds for Legacy, build awareness and a sense of social justice.
Boss Bootcamp will test the ability to work together by solving puzzles and other brain teasers to escape from a the walls of a mystery room whilst the clock is ticking and/or will challenge the bosses/ teams with the physical military style obstacle course.
Boss Bootcamp will not only build awareness of what Legacy does but what our ADF do.
Boss Bootcamp will give you an opportunity to build affinity with our Australian Defence Force.
Whilst challenging, it is fun and gives an opportunity for networking and team building.

Every business and industry has a range of bosses and all are eligible to take part in Boss Bootcamp. Even the boss of the house can be nominated.
Yes, if attending the venue on the day you MUST be 18 to participate. There is no age limit if you are registering your school to participate.
If you are under 18 why not consider nominating your teacher, parent, coach and help them raise money to get to Boss Bootcamp in support of Legacy families? Or register your school/college/university.

Day of the bootcamp
- Arrive 15 minutes prior to your starting time
- Sign in
- Watch an 8 min video
- Go through rules for the Brains & Brawn challenges
- Warm up with the trained Personal Trainer
- Complete your challenge (Brains/Brawn or Both)
- Networking opportunities
- There will be food, drinks and merchandise available for purchase
- There are limited showers, but you will have the opportunity to be hosed down.
- Wear comfortable clothing and appropriate shoes
- If participating in the Brawn challenge wear suitable gym attire
- Bring a towel and a change of clothes.
- Bring a water bottle to rehydrate along the way
- Bring extra water to rinse off as showers are limited
It will be mandatory for all participants taking part in the obstacle challenge to watch an 8 min video, along with instructions which will sit on our website closer to the event and will be reiterated on the morning of the event.
RAISING FUNDS
On top of your registration fee we would appreciate your efforts to attempt to raise a minimum of $500 per person or $3000 for a company for Legacy.

We have prizes for the top 3 fundraisers in each of the following categories:
- Individual
- Team
- School

If you are the Boss/teacher/supervisor registering yourself, click SIGN UP and complete the registration
You will be asked for a username and password upon registration which will create your log in for the site in the future. Keep your username and password in a safe place for future access to your online fundraising page.

Click the SIGN UP, choose “Individual” and follow the prompt.

Click the SIGN UP, choose I’m registering the Boss and follow the prompt.
Add the Boss’s details, your details and then the names of each of the team members.
Each team can have a maximum of 4 to 6 members (the boss and up to 5 staff members). As many teams from one organisation can be registered.
If you have a larger team we can organise one fundraising page for the team with individual pages for each of the members.
Yes, you can go it alone or participate as a team. One of the benefits of this event is the team building, not only on the day but the challenge to reach your fundraising goal will be much more fun with others.
You can invite staff/co-workers to join your team by picking up the phone, sending an email invitation, using social media, or the old face to face ask. If they accept then the Boss (or person with the log-in) can go in the back end to add team members or you can send them your online fundraising page link or the Boss Bootcamp sign up link to get them to join your team
Spectators are welcome. As it is a charity entry will be a gold coin donation. Donations of $2 or more are eligible for a tax deductible receipt.
You will need to sign our General Terms & Conditions, watch the video and sign the waiver to enter the venue.
PHYSICAL FITNESS
Of course! We have a brains section, escape from the room, which may better suit you or you can SPONSOR one of our other participants, or DONATE directly to Legacy.
The course has been developed for various levels of fitness. You set yourself the challenge to your fitness level e.g. you can set yourself a time goal or set yourself a goal to attempt as many obstacles your body can handle, you can opt out at any time. People with disabilities, with staff assistance, have managed to safely complete the course. You choose which obstacles you tackle, some or all.

MERCHANDISE
Along with printing out posters, sending out emails and posting on social media, merchandise is a tangible way to show your support for Legacy and your participation in Boss Bootcamp. You can purchase merchandise during the registration process or if you have already registered then email info@legacybossbootcamp.com.au to check stock and place your order.

Orders will be despatched from Legacy House 102 Franklin St, Adelaide. If items are in stock, they can be collected or posted within 48hrs of receipt of order. If items aren’t in stock please allow three (3) weeks from time of order. Postage is included in the price of the merchandise.
You can exchange the tee-shirts for size but unfortunately there is no refund on merchandise for change of mind. You may get a refund if the garment is faulty.
*Please note to make an exchange you will need to pay for return postage or come in to Legacy House, 102 Franklin St, Adelaide.
Merchandise purchases will help to promote Boss Bootcamp. Unfortunately purchases cannot be added to your fundraising total, as money raised is purely a ‘donation’ to which you receive a specific receipt to enable you to claim the donation on your tax.
MANAGE OFFLINE DONATIONS
Please try to bank the funds raised as you receive them. The sooner the money is received, the sooner the donor will see it on your Fundraising page.
Your Fundraising page will be left open for an extra month after the event. Please ensure all funds raised are banked by Sunday 31st May 2020.

Yes, we will send tax receipts for all donations over $2. However we will need to receive a confirmation of money banked and donor details.
I’M ORGANISING A FUNDRAISING EVENT, WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?
A budget is a good idea, working out the costs and setting a goal of how much you would like to raise is important. Should you wish to email us a copy of the budget for perusal, we would be happy to give you feedback.
Please deduct any incurred costs from the money raised and bank the remainder. The money raised after costs taken out is what we count as part of your fundraising goal.

MY FUNDRAISING PAGE
The pledged donations will only show up once they are banked and the receipt sent to the team at Boss Bootcamp. As soon as you get offline donations please either bring them in to us or to the bank and email us the donor's information so we can add them to your fundraising page.
Yes. Accepted file types are jpg or gif. The more photos and videos you add the better as it will appeal to more people.
Yes, you can request to be an anonymous donor.
By all means you can make a donation to your own fundraising page.
Any donated amount is fine, but larger donations will encourage others to donate similar amounts.
When you sign up, you will get access to a secure fundraising hub. This will take you to the back end of your Fundraising Page that only you can see.
Log in to your fundraising page to update your profile and upload photos.
The easiest way for them to donate is electronically. Email them the link for your fundraising page or they can give you cash or cheque if they prefer. If you receive cash or cheque click options to bank offline donations to process.
